Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
- Collect sushi rice, nori sheets, imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, and eel sauce.
Step 2: Prepare the Sushi Rice
- Rinse 1 cup of sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, usually about 20 minutes. Once cooked, let it cool slightly and mix in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
Step 3: Slice the Vegetables
- Thinly slice the avocado and cucumber into long strips.
Step 4: Assemble the Roll
- Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top. Layer imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber in the center of the rice.
