Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup Oat Flour A gluten-free alternative that adds a nutty flavor and is rich in fiber.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder Helps the pancakes rise and become fluffy.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Enhances the overall flavor of the pancakes.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup Milk Adds moisture; use dairy or a plant-based alternative for a vegan option.
  • 1 large Egg Binds the ingredients together; substitute with a flax egg for a vegan version.
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Coconut Oil or Butter Adds richness to the batter.
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup A natural sweetener that adds a delicious flavor; can be adjusted to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds a lovely aroma and enhances sweetness.

Equipment

  • 1 Large Bowl For mixing dry ingredients.
  • 1 Medium Bowl For mixing wet ingredients.
  • 1 Non-stick Skillet or Griddle For cooking pancakes.

Method

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
  1. Collect all the ingredients listed above.
Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the oat flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk and melted coconut oil or butter. Mix until everything is nicely blended.
Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
Step 5: Heat the Pan
  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can add a little oil or butter to prevent sticking.
Step 6: Cook the Pancakes
  1. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy!
  1. Stack your pancakes high and top with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit, maple syrup, or yogurt. Dig in and enjoy your healthy breakfast delight!
