Method
 

Prepare the Rice
  1. Start by cooking 1 cup of white rice according to package instructions. Fluff it up and set it aside.
Make the Patties
  1. In a bowl, mix 1 pound of ground beef or turkey with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
Prepare the Gravy
  1. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour. Gradually add 2 cups of beef broth, stirring until thickened. Season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
Fry the Eggs
  1. In a separate pan, fry 4 eggs sunny-side up or to your liking. Season with a little salt and pepper.
Assemble the Dish
  1. On each plate, layer the cooked rice, a beef patty, and top with a fried egg. Drizzle with the savory gravy.
